Our website and YouTube channel contains a wide range of lessons covering Arabic, the Islamic sciences and a variety of supporting subjects. Since many of these lessons were recorded from live classes over a number of years, they are not necessarily intended to be watched in the order they appear on the channel.
Understanding How To Study
The Arabic language is traditionally built upon three core sciences: Naḥw (grammar), Ṣarf (morphology) and Balāghah (rhetoric). These provide the linguistic foundation required for the study of the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh and the classical Islamic sciences.
Naḥw and Ṣarf complement one another and can be studied simultaneously. Once a reasonable grounding has been acquired in these two subjects, students may continue with Arabic literature, which can then be studied alongside Balāghah. Thereafter, students will be well prepared to progress to the study of the Islamic sciences.

In our live classes, students are encouraged to ask questions, as understanding is often developed through discussion and clarification.
However, due to time constraints, we are unable to answer questions relating to our video content by email or through comments on our videos.
Our videos are recordings of live classes that have been made available to support our students' learning. They are not intended to serve as a substitute for studying with a teacher.
Nevertheless, for those who are unable to study with a teacher and wish to structure their studies using our videos, we have provided a simple course map below for guidance.
